DIVERSE provides excellent opportunities for formal and informal networking with experts in the field from all over the globe. The conference will be both a showcase and a critical forum on all aspects of visual resources in education through plenary and themed sessions. The formats chosen for DIVERSE are designed to ensure a dynamic agenda.
The agenda is made up of the following types of sessions:
Presentations are 30 minute talks based on a paper, followed by a discussion. All presentations will be bundled in sessions dedicated to the specific themes of DIVERSE 2012. Proposals for such presentations may feature a description of a particular experience or activity.
Posters are graphic presentations which are displayed throughout the conference, but there will be specific time-slots in the programme for presenters to comment on their poster. The format for these poster sessions is highly interactive. Participants attending these sessions will be free to move around the room to find out more about the posters that interest them most on an informal basis. These sessions will take place in an area near the exhibition hall and the coffee breaks, to ensure a lot of traffic from the participants.
Creative Concept Coffees are interactive networking sessions where you can share your ideas and inspirations with colleagues so they can help you by providing feedback, ideas - or even join your project. In preparation for these Creative Sessions you are invited to bring all your draft ideas with you (part of a project proposal, experiment, pilot etc.).
All paper and poster proposals will be peer-reviewed. Selected papers will be published in an ISBN publication, after the conference.
All practical information regarding paper submission, guidelines etc. is available here.
