Since the beginning of this conference in Derby England 2001 DIVERSE has been intended for anyone interested in embedding video and video communication (conferencing) technologies within educational practice: teachers, technical support staff, researchers, staff and educational developers and project managers.
DIVERSE provides excellent opportunities for formal and informal networking with experts in the field from all over the globe.
The conference will be both a showcase and a critical forum on all aspects of visual resources in education through plenary and themed sessions.

We want to give the opportunity to share a variety of movies that illustrate how video can be used in education.

- One of our keynote speakers this year will be professor Erik Duval! He will be accompanied by Rolf Schreuder, for some of you known of the crossmediaproject ‘Beagle in Darwin’s wake’. It was a Dutch-Flemish project initiated by the Dutch broadcaster VPRO in collaboration with an educational broadcaster and the Flemish public broadcaster VRT to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species.
